Yesterday, Pokimane announced that she is retiring from Twitch, tweeting, “the end of an era – twitch has been my home for a decade.. but it's time to say thank you for all the memories and love during my League, Fortnite, & Among us days.”
So what does that mean for the exceedingly popular and simped-after streamer? “Many tears on my end is what it means,” she said.

What an incredible journey it’s been. We’re so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and what’s ahead in the future.

You’ll always have a home on Twitch, Poki
Over the last year, Twitch has lost a number of its biggest personalities to Kick. With financial backing from the gambling platform Stake, Kick has signed huge names like Adin Ross and xQc to deals worth hundreds of millions of dollars. But is that what's happening here? Probably not.
While it stands to reason that Pokimane could secure herself a similar payday, she is Twitch’s most followed female streamer and has repeatedly spoken out against Kick’s gambling ties.
“Why would I compromise my morals and ethics for more money when I have money?” she said.

Deals with other platforms like YouTube or Twitter (X) could also be on the cards, but so is retirement. Many iconic internet personalities have stepped back this year, and with plenty of traction on Instagram and TikTok, Pokimane doesn’t need streaming to keep her empire afloat.
let's explore something new together..
